About Jack

Jack Meehan was one of the best friends and people you could imagine. He lived every day to its fullest and made everyone around him feel loved and included.

To honor his legacy and to keep his bright light shining, a group of his close friends created the Jack Meehan Kickball Tournament. Our goal is to bring together our community to celebrate Jack's life, support suicide awareness, and normalize discussions around mental health. But mostly to have some fun, because that's how Jack would want it.

We asked close friends, and hosts of the tournament, "What did Jack mean to you?"

Jack wasn't just a friend; he was family. There wasn't a moment that he didn't have a smile on his face. Everywhere he went, he was lit up by joy. Jack truly changed my life for the better, and I miss him every day. Love you, Jack.

Jack was the most consistent friend ever. He was always down to hangout and always knew how to make me laugh. Jack appreciated the little things in life and was nice to every single person he met. Jack will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Jack was family to me. He was one of those people who could walk into a room full of strangers and would become friends with everyone. Everything he did put a smile on my face, and he was always cheering me up. He was the first friend I made when I moved schools. I'm so glad to have met him. I love and miss you Jack.

Jack was my friend but he meant so much more to me I considered him my brother. Jack was the type of kid to see you having a bad day and not only notice but he would make it his mission to make you feel better. I will forever cherish the time I had with him in my life. I love you and miss you Jack. Always.

I refer to Jack as one of my best friends but he was so much more than that. He had the biggest heart I've ever seen. I've yet to experience a brighter light in my life. He always knew how to make me smile and laugh even on my worst days. I will forever cherish my moments with him. I love you Jack.
